Woof woof woof!
Hi, my name is Carl !
I’m a Rottweiler. We are one of the oldest breeds known. We go back as far as the first century when we helped the Roman Legions herd cattle over the Alps. Some people think we are a scary breed, but the truth is we are family dogs. The most important thing to me is to be with my humans. When Daddy is gone, Mommy let’s me sleep next to her and use Daddy’s pillow! When Daddy is home I sleep on my back at their feet. Sometimes I curl up on the sofa with a good book before I go to sleep.
I like to play with my two sisters, Heidi and Nikki. They were both rescued by Mom. I joined the family later. I’m six years old now. Some people think I’m big for a Rottie; but I’m just right. Mommy and Daddy took me to some dog shows where I became a Champion, which means I look like what a Rottweiler should. Mommy also taught me Obedience and Rally. I’ve earned my Companion Dog and Rally Excellence titles. That was all fun, but what I like best is visiting my friends in nursing homes and reading with kids! Sometimes I get dressed up in my jester collar and go to parties.
I also like to bring my toys out to play. My favorite is my soft mallard duck that squeaks! Sometimes I try to steal the chew toys from my sister Heidi. But that’s okay because she steals them back.
I’m just a big huggy bear. My fir is soft and I love to have kids sit next to me and read. I want to read with you soon and hear about your favorite things.
