Woof and Hello!

My name is Buddy and I am a 5 yr old Dachshund.  When my mom got me in Georgia, she thought I was going to be a miniature doxie, but the breeder must have fibbed a little because I turned out to be a little bigger than what I was supposed to be - but mom didn't care because she told me she had fallen in love with me at first sight!  I was pretty darn cute! (much cuter than my two sisters and brother)

Mom brought me back to Florida when I was about 6 months old; right away she noticed that I was SUPER friendly and she thought I would make a wonderful Therapy Dog; sure enough, we became a Therapy Dogs Inc. and Caring Canines Therapy Dog Team.  One of my favorite places to visit is Boggy Creek Camp because the children there love me so much, and I love them!  Mom and I also love to go to Waterman Hospital and make sick people happy! (I think I am the favorite therapy dog for the staff, too...I am really cute!)

Mom decided I was just right for Hospice work , too.  We work special events and visit people that would like to have us come over for awhile just to be with them.

When Mom and I had a chance to be a READing Paws Team, we jumped at that chance , too!  Having children read to me is just great!  Now I can't decide what I like best!
