Buddy P’s Page

Woof woof woof!

My name is Buddy, and I'm a Pembroke Welsh corgi, although my legs are quite a bit longer than my sister Annie Rose's. And am I ever a lucky fellow! Somehow I wound up in a shelter, and my Mom, who volunteers for Sunshine Corgi Rescue, brought me home to foster. I followed her all around and looked at her with my big brown eyes, and she and Dad adopted me.

I had to go to obedience school for a long time because no one had ever taught me how to be a gentleman. Mom and I worked very hard, and the proudest day of my life was when I passed the Delta Society Pet Partner evaluation. I also write a column in the Sunshine Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club quarterly newsletter. It is called "Buddy's Chronicles," and I tell all about my experiences and visits and speak up for all the rescue corgis. But my favorite activity is having the kids R.E.A.D. to me.

My sister, Annie Rose, showed me how to eat neat things like bananas and strawberries. Wow, are they ever good! I have lots of toys now, but my favorite is a red rubber tire that I throw into the air and catch on my nose. It's way cool!

I like to write email too.  You can email me at Buddy@READingPaws.org
