Woof !   My name is Auggie. I'm a German Shepherd. I’ve got tons of patience and never lose my cool.

I've dealt with everything from being crushed in a crying teenager's embrace to being a personal playground for toddlers.

I was born on a farm in South Carolina where I spent my first year playing with my brothers and sisters. My first human, Catherine, took me to obedience class and qualified me as a therapy dog. But before I could make my first visit another human put me in a truck and took me to a different small farm in Georgia. She took me to another obedience course and, like Catherine, thought I might make a wonderful therapy dog. So a lady from the Delta Society checked me out and now I can go to see people who don't have their own pets with them.

And I also get to visit my local school and kids read books to me! During the summer I go to the library and kids read to me there. My favorite thing is relaxing with a friend and enjoying a good book.
