Woof woof woof!

Hi my name is Aubie!   I was named after the mascot for Auburn University where my Dad works.  I have lived with my human family for 8 years – since I was 6 weeks old. When I came home I was so small that my Dad could hold me in the palm of his hand.

Many days I go to work with my Dad.  My job is to help the students to feel better before a big test.  When they play with me they forget to worry and just have fun – me too.  I also visit in homes where people cannot get out much.  I am so small that they like for me to sit in their lap and it makes them smile. 

One of my favorite things is to be with children.  I like to play with them and help them to feel better about themselves.  But I really like it when they read to me.  You see I am a R.E.A.D. dog.  When humans read to me it helps me learn about many different things.  I hope that we get to meet someday.  Until then remember RIF (reading is fun).
