Hi, my name is Leo.  I was rescued from the animal shelter a few years ago at the age of 2.  I was very underweight and was very sick.  After lots of tender loving care, I am now healthy and happy. 

No one knows why a beautiful golden retriever like me ended up at the animal shelter, but they know I came from Peachtree City - I knew what a golf cart was and jumped right in!  I don't care who is driving or where we are going!  I am a very happy guy and love to run around on my grandparent's farm.  I love to swim in the pool, play in the creek, I like squeaky toys, will fetch anything, and love to have my belly rubbed.  I have lots of buddies at home including two cats and a pitbull mix that was also rescued named Harley. 

Mom and Dad noticed that I was so good with everybody and so affectionate that they thought I would make a wonderful therapy dog someday.  Three years later, I am now a very successful registered therapy dog!  Because I love children so much, they decided to take my training a little further and me and my "grandmother" have just received our READing Paws Team Registration.
