Woof ! My name is Dusty ! Four years ago my mom found me at the Williamson County Humane Shelter and it was a joyful day for both of us. I have the kindness of the golden retriever and the smartness of the border collie combination that the shelter thought I am. Found as a deserted puppy in Nolensville, a lady called the shelter and asked that I be picked up for adoption. On the first day I was up for adoption, my mom walked in and found me. How LUCKY we both are to have each other and to be able to volunteer in the READing Paws program at Edmondson Elementary and Lipscomb Elementary. We have been at these two schools the last four years and love the students. They treat me so special, inviting me to the programs that they are in and wanting me to help them in their reading programs. I love these schools!!! Three Woofs for them!! We also, through the Therapy ARC program, go to two assisted living places in Franklin: Manor of Steeplechase and Morningside. Here we get to visit with elderly residents who want and need special attention. And we thoroughly enjoy doing this too. From young to old, my theme song is "Everybody Loves Dusty!" I like to write email too. You can email me at dusty@readingpaws.org
